Railway maintenance, trackside operations and depot personnel work in low-visibility conditions close to live infrastructure, with arc-flash risk in electrified depots. XM Textiles fabrics combine EN ISO 20471 visibility with IEC 61482 arc protection where the site requires both.
Standards that apply
Visibility class is set by EN ISO 20471; add IEC 61482 for work near electrified track or depot switchgear.
High-visibility signalling — Class 1, 2 or 3 depending on the fluorescent and reflective material area.
Electric arc flash — required for work near electrified lines, depot switchgear or overhead line equipment.
