XM Textiles has renewed its OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification for another year. Certificate BEWO 084394, issued by TESTEX AG, the Swiss Textile Testing Institute in Zurich, is now valid until 15 August 2027.
The renewal is supported by test report BJ015 290760.1 and a declaration of conformity in accordance with EN ISO 17050-1, as required by OEKO-TEX®.
What the certificate covers
The certification applies to XM Textiles woven fabrics — 100% cotton, cotton/polyamide, cotton/polyester and cotton/polyester/carbon with anti-static function — piece-dyed and finished, including fabrics produced with flame-retardant properties.
The fabrics are certified under Product Class II, the class for textiles with direct and prolonged contact with the skin. That is the same requirement level applied to underwear and bed linen — the appropriate benchmark for garments worn eight hours a day, five days a week.
Why annual renewal matters
OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is not a one-off certificate. It is valid for twelve months and has to be re-tested and re-issued every year, against a criteria catalogue that OEKO-TEX® updates annually as new substances come under regulatory scrutiny. A current certificate therefore says something a five-year mark cannot: the material was tested against this year’s limit values, not the limit values of 2021.
XM Textiles has held and renewed this certificate continuously since 2018. This is the ninth consecutive renewal.
What it means for workwear manufacturers
- Tender documentation is ready. Public-sector and large corporate tenders increasingly require a valid OEKO-TEX® certificate as an entry condition. The current document is downloadable from our certificates page — no waiting on a supplier request.
- Skin-contact safety is documented, not assumed. Class II testing covers regulated and non-regulated substances including azo dyes, formaldehyde, heavy metals, pesticides and chlorinated phenols.
- One supplier, one document set. The OEKO-TEX® certification sits alongside more than 300 certificates covering EN ISO 11612, EN ISO 11611, EN 1149, EN 13034, EN 61482, EN 20471, EN 469 and NFPA 2112.
Where to find the certificate
The 2026–2027 certificate is available on the XM Textiles OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 page, together with the corresponding certificates for XM FireLine fabrics, XM SilverLine reflective tapes and sewing threads. All are listed in the certificates library.
If you need the certificate reissued with your company named as a buyer, or a specific article confirmed against the scope, contact your XM Textiles manager.
