FR fabric Volcano renews EN ISO 13034

April 2018, our flame retardant fabric Volcano has been re-certified for EN 13034:2005+A1:2009 (Protection clothing against liquid chemicals). Due to this EN 13034 certificate is valid only for 5 years, and the original testing was done in 2013, XM FireLine™ has tested this flame retardant fabric once again. The testing has been done at international lab AITEX (Spain).
EN 13034 Standard includes fabric testing in various ways to determine its physical parameters and resistance to chemicals. There were 4 chemical compounds (H2SO4, NaOH, n-heptane and isopropanol) used for the testing.
According to standard EN 13034 Volcano has been successfully passed all the following tests:

Abrasion resistance (EN 530:2010 Method 2)– performance levelLEVEL 4

Volcano is an innovative flame retardant fabric made of cotton-nylon blend, which is extremely tear-resistant and durable. This durability lets sufficiently increased life circle of flame retardant clothing.
With Volcano you do not have to sacrifice safety issues, as with a weight of only 260 gsm (7.7oz), Volcano meets the requirements of HRC level 2 (defined by NFPA 70E) with ATPV 8.2 cal/cm2. This FR fabric is also certified to ISO 11612 and ISO 11611 standards for protective clothing. Moreover, Volcano has additional Multi-risk treatment, which adds protection against acids, oil, grease and water.

You can find all certificates and additional information on the Volcano product page.
