November 11, 2021 – XM Textiles Rainblock-140 certified workwear fabric (HV Orange) Certificate for EN 343 safety standard.
RainBlock-140 is a fabric with water resistant properties, as well as mechanical 4-way stretch, Rainblock was designed for functional and comfortable outdoor jackets and raincoats.
BS EN 343 specifies the requirements and test methods for materials and the seams of protective clothing that has been designed to give protection against precipitation (i.e. rain, snow), mist and ground moisture. There is also a separate test EN 14360 for assessing the waterproofness of the complete finished garments but this test is not included in EN 343.
EN 343 certification involved tests for colour performance requirements and color fastness as new and after different test exposures like Rubbing, Perspiration, Laundry and Water vapour resistance, Domestic washing 5 cycles at 600C.
