XM SilverLine™ – XM-8010 reflective tape (film) has been certified to EN 469 & EN 20471 in SATRA(UK) lab. This is a new generation of reflective material. It is more comfortable due to lower weight and better flexibility and it is easily applied by heat transfer.
XM-8000 series are actually PU films developed for use on FR-clothing, they made with Reflective micro-beads and Flame Retardant substance with high durable properties. There are several designs of these Reflective films have been created.
Now, we have certified first three of them, they are:
– art. XM-8010 Corsica HT Yellow-Silver reflective tape with classic triple trim design Yellow-Silver-Yellow and Heat Transfer application – It has been tested and certified for High Visibility by EN 20471 and also for Flame Resistance properties by EN 469. The testing was done after 35x wash cycles at 60°C.
– art. XM-8010C Corsica HTS Segmented Yellow-Silver – reflective tape with new segmented design Yellow-Silver-Yellow and Heat Transer application – It has been tested and certified for High Visibility by EN 20471 and also for Flame Resistance properties by EN 469. The testing was done after 35x wash cycles at 60°C.
– art. XM-8104/10 Liso-Y HT Yellow – reflective tape with solid Yellow design and Heat Transfer application – It has been tested and certified for High Visibility by EN 20471 and also for Flame Resistance properties by EN 469. The testing was done after 30x wash cycles at 60°C.
HTS means Heat Transfer Segmented and HTS Reflective tape gives even more comfort in wear, the FR-clothing with HTS tape folds and moves more easier and breathes more, allowing heat to go away from the body faster.
HT FR (Heat Transfer Flame Retardant) tapes have solid design with less breathability, but they are also more flexible and lighter that sew-on Reflective tapes.
Both HT and HTS kind of XM-8000 tapes are durable reflective material with high Retro-reflectivity (e.g CORSICA HTS has R>500cd*lx/m2) and durable Flame Resistance. Yet, you should remember that HTS Segmented design by its nature is more vulnerable for damaging by scratches or other strong physical contact. We recommend you to follow application and care instructions for lasting performance of XM-8000 reflective tapes.
We have another 5 designs of HT FR reflective films in the development which we plan to test and certify within several months. Between them there would be solid and segmented types of Reflective material in pure Orange, pure Silver, pure Yellow and Orange-Silver colours.
