XM Textiles donates face masks to Red Cross

XM Textiles Europe donated 20.000 disposable face mask and 6.100 protective respirator KN95 to the Spanish Red Cross. This act of support is made to help the volunteers of Red Cross to fight against coronavirus.

Antonio Castrillo, manager of XM Textiles has put a lot of efforts to let these masks come in time to Madrid and this was no easy task with all the border restrictions and new custom formalities.

Spain is one of the countries that was impacted so much with COVID-19 and our company could not stay away. As we so vividly remember all the warmth of our Spanish clients visited our stand during SICUR-2020. The exhibition has had a total success and over a hundred meetings have been done. We have spent tens of hours speaking with our clients many of whom have became our friends. We just could not stay away and we helped it to withstand the coronavirus.

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) is a humanitarian institution based in Geneva, Switzerland, and a three-time Nobel Prize Laureate. Today, Red Cross and the World Health Organization are on the frontline in the fight against a new coronavirus pandemic – COVID-19. Any support they get is for the greater good.

As a sign of honour, our company has received a Certificate from the Spanish Red Cross from Leopoldo Pérez Suárez, Secretary General of Cruz Red Española, (Madrid, Spain)
