In October, 2017 our retroreflective tape XM-6012 has obtained the certificate of conformity to standard EN ISO 20471:2013.
All tests were performed in the SATRA laboratory in England. To prove the high quality of XM-6012 reflective tape XM Silverline requested an extended set of tests for EN 20471:
- 7500 Flexion cycles – PASS,
- 5000 Abrasion cycles – PASS,
- Folding at cold temperatures at -20oC – PASS,
- Temperature variation – PASS,
- Influence of rainfall – PASS,
- Domestic washing. (ISO 6330) – 25 cycles. 60oC & hot tumble drying – PASS.
FR reflective tape XM-6012 has passed all these tests with excellent performance. It demonstrated high reflectivity, which was above 254 cd/lx*m2 after almost all tests. The norm for EN 20471 declares minimal value of 100 cd/lx*m2, so our tape is 2,5 times better than the reqierements.
The test results have confirmed the good quality and durability of XM SilverLine reflective tape, which is recommended to use in all kinds of High Visibility clothing, such as HiVis vests for contract workers, HiVis jackets and trousers for road or airport workers, HiVis garments for increased visibility.
