The fabric owes its flame retardant properties to the structure with the content of modacrylic fibers – it does not contain any chemical finishing. The antistatic properties were obtained thanks to the use of antistatic fibers. Clothes made of fabric are soft, extremely durable and durable in use. Cotton content ensures comfort in all conditions. The fabric is resistant to tearing and tearing. Provides protection against hot factors, metal splashes and accidental electric discharges. A special production process ensures color stability and dimensional stability after washing. The fabric meets the requirements of European standards for workwear: EN 13688 and for protective clothing: EN 11611: Protective clothing used during welding; EN 11612: Clothing for protection against heat and flame and EN 1149: Protective clothing – Electrostatic properties and EN 20471: Clothing with increased visibility. With Volcano, you do not have to sacrifice safety, because at a weight of only 260 gsm (7.7oz), Volcano meets the requirements of HRC level 2 (defined by NFPA 70E) with ATPV 8.2 cal/cm2. An antistatic carbon yarn is embedded in the surface of Volcano, making it safe for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) sparks, antistatic fibres safely dissipate static electricity, eliminating the risk of fire and explosion. Volcano FR fabric is also certified to EN ISO 11612 and EN ISO 11611 standards for protective clothing. Volcano also has an additional multi-risk treatment that provides extra protection against acids, oil, grease and water. The multi-risk properties are confirmed by the ISO 13034 certificate. Volcano is an excellent choice for FR clothing for oil and gas companies working in warm or hot climates.
