Seam Sealing tapes

TS-100 is a transparent tape that seals stitched seams on PU- and PVC-coated fabrics, making them fully waterproof.

Stitching perforates the fabric, and on a waterproof garment those needle holes become the weakest point — water and wind pass through the seam even when the fabric itself performs perfectly. TS-100 is bonded over the stitch line from the coated side and closes them, so the seam stops being the place where water gets in.[show_more more="Show more" less="Show less" color="#629e11;" align=”left” ]

The tape is a single-layer PVC film carrying a polyurethane hot-melt adhesive, 0.12 mm thick in total. It stays thin and flexible, so the sealed seam keeps its handle and the garment does not stiffen. The adhesive face is matte and easy to identify, and the film is transparent, so the tape is applied to the inside face of the product.

In production the tape runs on a hot-air seam sealing machine at 400–450 °C and 5–10 m/min. For repairs, sampling and short runs a domestic iron is enough — place the tape matte side down, cover it with paper or dry cotton cloth and press until the bond is firm. Adhesion varies between fabrics, so test your material before bulk production.

Supplied transparent, 20 mm wide, 200 m per roll. Consumption is approximately 5–10 m per garment depending on construction and seam length. TS-100 is used on rainwear and waterproof workwear, outdoor and travel gear, footwear, children’s products, and covers for garden furniture and awnings.
